Author Bio

J.S. Walker was born in the busy city of Chicago, IL. From as far back as elementary school she’s loved to read and write stories. Her favorite part of school was the chance to write narratives. Of course with her wild imagination the narratives had many false elements to them. She read such stories such as The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe and Bridge to Terabithia, but by the age of twelve her love of books waned. It wouldn't be until her junior year in high school when she picked up a book for pleasure again. Thus she was introduced to the Twilight Saga and hasn't put down a book since.

Her love for Fantasy Fiction stems from her mother's love of books. As an avid reader, J.S.'s mother loved to read any and everything. But what she remembers the most about her childhhood is watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer with her mother. "She watched it every week faithfully. It became that I had to watch it too if I wanted to spend that hour with her. My love of vampires, demons, and wolves comes from watching that show with her." Though she's never written a vampire story, she absolutely loves them. "I've read tons of vampire stories since high school and I felt like, as a writer, it was expected of me to write a vampire story, but I just couldn't. Though my stories have vampires in it, its definitely not vampire based."

J.S. Walker's writing leans toward Paranormal Romance with strong, sexy heroes and sassy, kick-ass heroines.  Since discovering her love of writing, she's written many short stories and has started four novels; two abandoned, one completed, and one on the way to being published. She attends Columbia College Chicago in the Undergraduate Program and majors in Fiction Writing. Her favorite reads are anything with a great plot and steamy romance, but she particularly likes Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance. When she's not in her own world writing thrilling stories or has her head buried in a book , she loves spending time with her sweet and rambunctious three year old daughter.
